Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC play SWV Kings Warriors again

Looking to take first place in the Conference

Cincinnati, OH, June 10 – The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC (2-0-3) is playing their fourth home game of the season against SWV Kings Warriors (1-1-2) on Wednesday June 10 at 7:00pm at Xavier University Soccer Complex in Cincinnati. The Lions played the same team last Saturday and tied 2-2. In order to stay in the race for the Conference Championship the Lions need to pick up a win.

Head Coach Terry Nicholl commented on the upcoming game: “I was most disappointed in our first half performance on Saturday, our opponent completely controlled possession, and we were lucky to go into the locker room only 1-2 down, after an early breakthrough by Jordy Grant after a slick assist from Chris Harmon. But once again the lads showed their team spirit and togetherness and we quickly bounced back, with our captain Rowin van Zaanen scoring the equalizer, early in the second half. From then on the game was even and we perhaps we created the better chances, Jeff McClure had the best opportunity when he missed with his terrific left foot, he had scored in every game so far. Once again we showed that we are “difficult to be beat” but we must develop our possession game and not give the ball away too easily if we want to beat this team Wednesday. We have tied them twice now and we are looking for a win this time. What this team has shown is that they are a tight group, with great morale and fighting spirit and we like to show that again on Wednesday.

After the game the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC will travel to Carolina on June 14 at 7:00pm and then return June 27 at home against the West Virginia Chaos.
