Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC play SWV Kings Warriors

Looking to stay undefeated in 2014 season

Cincinnati, OH, June 5 2014 – The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC (2-0-2) is playing their third home game of the season against SWV Kings Warriors (1-1-1) on Saturday June 7 at 7:00pm at Xavier University Soccer Complex in Cincinnati. The Lions are still undefeated in their first season after 4 games and looking for it’s third win to stay in the race for the Conference Championship. The teams played each other previously with a 1-1 score in Virginia.

Head Coach Terry Nicholl commented on the upcoming game: “although we scored three goals last week, our main emphasis is on how we can get better connections from center midfield into our forwards and wingers. We briefly ran a 4-3-3 in practice as an alternative to our 4-2-3-1 system and we hope to continue our good form of being “difficult to be beat” by maintaining defensive integrity. We are also working hard to get our captain Rowin van Zaanen and also Brian Causey and Kyle Smith fit for Saturday’s game. Rowin and Brian showed dramatic improvement and trained fully on Tuesday. Kyle Smith rested Tuesday and we hope he will return to full practice on Thursday.”

After this weekend’s game the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC will play the SWV King’s Warriors again at Xavier University Soccer Complex Wednesday June 11 at 7:00pm.
