Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC play West Virginia Chaos for top position

Looking to take first place in the Conference

Cincinnati, OH, June 26 2014– The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC (4-0-3) is playing for the top position in the conference when they host the West Virginia Chaos (5-3-2) on Friday June 27 at 7:00pm at Xavier University Soccer Complex in Cincinnati. The Lions are still without a loss in their inaugural 2014 season.

Head Coach Terry Nicholl commented on the upcoming game: “It is very important we get back up to speed after a weekend off. We won our last two games 2-0 showing good defensive integrity, and better possession and finishing. Our goalkeeper has been excellent all season, and I expect him to regain the form he was showing. We played a 4-4-2 (which is defensively strong and organized) but encouraging our wingers to get forward and turn it into a more offensive 4-2-4. We are looking forward to catching up some of the games in hand and hopefully reach for the top of the table the coming weeks.”

Captain Rowin van Zaanen commented:  “Over the past weeks we had some good practices. We are well prepared to be the leader in the competition. We work very hard and winning games gives us a lot of confidence. In the last games we have shown that we have a good team. The match against West Virginia Chaos is a tough and an important match because we can be the leader of the competition.”

After the game the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC stay home to play SC United Bantams already on Sunday June 29 at 7:00pm. You can order tickets for both games at www.cdlfc.com.
