CDL signs Terry Nicholl and Jack Hermans as coaching staff 2015

Veteran duo brings wealth of experience to CDL program


Cincinnnati OHIO, February 11, 2015 – The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC PDL Men’s team is coached this year by Terry Nicholl and Jack Hermans. Nicholl returns as Head Coach after his very successful first year finishing 2nd in 2014. Nicholl played professionally in England and the United States before starting his coaching career. He has been very successful as a youth coach for the Cincinnati United Premier and also Seven Hills High School.


Nicholl is clear about the ambition this year for the team: “I am looking forward to another good season but this year we must maintain our drive towards winning our conference and then to the play-offs”.


Hermans joins him after being with the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s USL PRO team since 2010 and brings a tremendous amount of experience to the team. He played professionally himself until an injury ended his career. He was Head Coach of Xavier University for 14 years and 5 years Assistant Coach with the professional team in Dayton. Jack also runs a popular series of local summer soccer camps called Soccer Unlimited, is heavily involved in the local soccer scene as a director of training for various clubs in Cincinnati and works closely with Ohio South.


CEO Mike Mossel commented on the signing of Nicholl and Hermans: “It’s amazing to get two of the most respected and successful coaches of Cincinnati (and also Ohio) together in our club. They really know what the game is about and know what it takes to not only play attractive but also create a winning team. It’s going to be a great experience for all the players to play for them and not only learn a lot but also enjoy themselves”.
