The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC (1-7-3  6 points) start the last week of the season on the road visiting the third place Derby City Rovers (5-5-2  17 points).  The game will be played at Centre College with kickoff at 7:00 pm.  This will be the first match up between these two teams.

The Lions have had a healthy dose of top competition as their last 4 matches have been against the last two national champions, K-W United and Michigan Bucks, but they are looking to get a result today.  They played very well in a 2-2 friendly over the weekend versus the Columbus Crew U23 squad.

“The boys played very well over the weekend and looked more like the team that tied K-W United a couple weeks ago.  It is not easy to have to play the brutal schedule we have had the past couple weeks.  I commend the lads for continuing to play hard and keeping their heads up.  It has been a tough season, but I like what I saw this weekend and believe that we have a great chance to finish the season strong.  We will give Derby City our best effort and try and get a win,” shared Head Coach Terry Nicholl.

The Lions have two additional games this week.  Thursday on the road at Pittsburgh Riverhounds (2:00 pm kickoff) and the final match of the season home at the Mason Multi Purpose stadium with kickoff at 4:00 pm.

You can purchase tickets online at or at the gate starting one hour prior to kickoff.  Adults $8.00 and youth $5.00 ~ 5 and under are always free.
