The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC will host the Michigan Bucks on Thursday, July 7th at Withrow University HS stadium.  Kickoff is 7:00 pm.  Tickets are available online at or may be purchased at the gate on game day.  Adults $8.00 and youth $5.00…..five and under are always free.

The Bucks sit just one point out of first place with a game in hand in the Great Lakes Division and have been handed the top spot in the most recent Central Conference Rankings.  They are riding a 3-game winning streak after a 3-2 win over league leaders K-W United.

This will be the third meeting this season between the two teams.  The first match was a 3-0 win for Michigan at the Canton Cup Memorial Day weekend.  The second match was much closer as the Lions lost 1-0 in a well fought match in mid-June.

The Lions are looking for a much needed victory as they play their second home match at this venue.  The first game at Withrow may have been the Lion’s best overall match of the year as they tied K-W United 1-1 and had several chances to get a winner.

“I cannot be too unhappy with our effort this season. Unfortunately, we have not had the creativity or finishing that we have had in past seasons that can push us over the hump in these tight games.  We have played a lot of good soccer, but this is the toughest division in the league and when you are not 100% you will get punished.”  said Head Coach Terry Nicholl.

“We continue to train well and we have almost all of our players healthy and available for roster spots.  I look for us to finish the season strong as we are not too far off from getting some results.”
