Sid van Druenen added to the staff

The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is happy to announce that, Dutch native, Sid van Druenen is joining the club as our Technical Director. Van Druenen will be joining Richard Campbell, CDLFC’s club Director and Terry Nicholl, CDLFC’s Head Coach and will be mainly responsible for all soccer related aspects of the club while assisting in the day to day operations and club management activities.

Van Druenen, a UEFA B licensed coach with a degree in Sports Management has previous USL PRO and PDL managerial experience as the Head Coach and Technical Director of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC in Dayton, Ohio.

As a player van Druenen represented clubs in Portugal (CD Boliqueime) and the Netherlands (EVV Eindhoven) before staring his coaching career. In the past 12 years van Druenen coached in Portugal with CD Boliqueime, CDR Quarteirense, Escola do Benfica de Loulé and in the USA with Soccer Centers in New Jersey and the Dayton Dutch Lions FC.

“I am very exited for this new opportunity in my career”, van Druenen said, “Since my first conversations with the new ownership group I was very driven and attracted to what this club wants to become and what this group stands for. Putting a quality product on the field while competing for a national championship and building on our relationships with local clubs and colleges are my main goals for the next few months.”

The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC’s 2017 season will kick off in May and many exciting things are in the works for soccer fans in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
