Brandon Ponchak new Director of Operations

The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is happy to announce that Brandon Ponchak is joining the club as Director of Operations. Ponchak will be joining Technical Director Sid van Druenen and Head Coach Terry Nicholl and be mainly responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and club management activities. Ponchak will also join the coaching staff as one of the assistants and goalkeeper coach.

Ponchak, a former college coach, has previous USL experience with the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and the Charlotte Eagles. As a player Ponchak played at Morgan High School in McConnelsville, Ohio followed by college at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.

In the past 4 years Ponchak has been the Head Coach of Sterling College, where he has helped Osman Mendez (2014 – Dayton Dutch Lions FC, USL) and Raul de Garcia (2017 – NK Bosna Visoko, Bosnia) become the first professional soccer players in program history.

“Working with the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC brought much unexpected excitement,” Ponchak said, “Since I have focused on college coaching for┬áseveral years, I never thought about the idea of taking my career to the next level, then, after my first conversations with Sid van Druenen and the new ownership group, I realized our ideas are very similar in using the sport to help aspiring young professional soccer players achieve a reality.”

The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC’s 2017 season will kick off May 21st as CDLFC host WV Chaos at Northern Kentucky University’s soccer stadium.
