CDLFC Midseason Player Update

The first-half of the college soccer season will be wrapping up as September comes to a close. Check in with all your favorite CDLFC players to see how they are doing! Links will direct to the team’s schedule, if you can make it to a game and support the guys. Cumulative, CDLFC players and their respective colleges have combined for 130 games played and a W-L-D record of 74-32-24, a winning percentage of .662.

Xavier University – 5-2-2

Cam Taylor – one of seven players to start every game of the season; 4 goals, 1 assist; 3rd on team in minutes played; 2 game winning goals; tied for 3rd in BIG EAST in goals

Matt Vasquenza – one of seven players to start every game of the season; 2 goals, 2 assists; leads team in shots

Sam Sergi – team leader in goals scored with 5; 1 game winning goal; 2x BIG EAST Honor Roll team member; tied for 2nd in BIG EAST in goals

Josh Grant  1 goal, 4 assists; 3rd in BIG EAST in assists

Matt Nance – not playing, suffered an unfortunate injury this summer with CDLFC

University of Cincinnati – 5-3-1

Austin Smythe – 3 goals, 1 assist; 2nd on team in goals scored and points; 4th on the team in shots; 1 game winning goal

Ryan Melink – 1 assist; one of five players to start every game of the season

Christian Hay – named team captain; has started in 7 of 8 games played

JJ Iroh – 1 game played

Northern Kentucky University – 6-1-3

Calvin Murphy – played in all 10 matches this season; 1 goal, 1 assist; current 8 game unbeaten streak for NKU

University of Kentucky – 6-1-2

Kevin Barajas – started 8 of 9 games played; 4th on team in minutes played

Keyarash Namjoupanah – started 2 of 7 games played

Wright State University – 5-4-1

Sam DeRoy – one of four players to have started all games this season; 1 assist; leads team in minutes played

University of Virginia – 6-1-1

Kennedy Nwabia – started first game of the season, suffered a minor injury and is recovering; expected to be back soon

Eastern Illinois University – 2-3-5

Christian Sosnowski – started all games this season; 1 assist

Keagan McLaughlin – has not seen time in his freshman season

Jamie Leddy – one of three players to start all games this season; leads team in minutes played

Arthur Rogers – started 2 of 5 games played; 1 assist; 2nd on team in shots

Patrick Guier – team ranked #1 in NCAA DII; one of six players to start every game played; 5 goals, 1 assist; leads team in goals; 2nd on team in shots; 1 game winning goal; 8th in Mountain East in shots; 5th in Mountain East in goals and points;

Tiffin University – 3-2-2

Charlie Rolls – one of seven players to start every game played; 2 assists

Alderson Broaddus University – 4-4-2

Oliver Korngor – one of eight players to play in all games played earning three starts; 1 goal; 3rd on team in shots

Defiance College – 4-3-2
