Introducing the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC

Who are we?
The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is a Northern Kentucky based adult soccer team that plays at the highest level of amateur soccer in the USA, the PDL.

What is our Mission?
The mission of the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is to develop players to the professional level by providing the opportunity for players to participate, develop and compete in a highly professional environment.

What is the PDL?
The PDL is the proven development leader in North America for soccer, with 70 percent of all MLS draftees having PDL experience. The season runs through the summer and consists of 14 regular season games per team, seven home and seven away games, followed by playoffs. It provides collegiate players the opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining their eligibility. It is also a great showcase opportunity for international players looking to play college or professionally in the United States or Canada.

Coaching staff
Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is very proud of its coaching staff. Head Coach Terry Nicholl and Associate Head Coach Sid van Druenen bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the club. Coach Nicholl has played over 400 professional games in England and the USA while Coach van Druenen has coached at the professional level in Portugal and the USA (USL PRO). Serving as a consultant to the coaching staff is Mike Mossel, a former professional player, current CEO of the Dutch Lions Capital Group and part owner of FC Cincinnati. A great combination to help players achieve their goals of becoming professional soccer players.

What is our Goal?
The immediate goal of the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC is to win the PDL national championship while building strong relationships and partnerships in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky soccer community.

Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC’s owners and staff are very committed to help grow the sport of soccer in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and are always looking for ways to give back to the community through:

  • School Assemblies
  • Hospital Visits
  • Club Visits/Clinics
  • Promotional Events

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like our staff or players to visit your organization and interact with your members and teams. We would love to come out and run a clinic for a club team during one of your already scheduled training sessions, at no cost.

Home field
The team will play its home games at Northern Kentucky University’s soccer specific stadium located at Nunn Drive, Highland Heights, KY 41099.

Your Support
Having the support of the local soccer community is crucial for us and we would like to know what we can do to help you help us!

One of the things we are offering is a fundraising opportunity for all Ohio and Kentucky youth clubs with a 50/50 split of ticket sales and a $1000, end of season prize, for the youth club that attends our games with the most members.

Please contact us if you would like more information about this initiative.

The Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC will start their season at home, on Sunday May 21st. Kick off is set for 6:00pm and tickets will go on sale soon. Click here for a full game schedule.

Thank you for your attention! Go Lions!
